Since a teen’s life is often full of commitments, we have flexible hours that work with your teen’s availability. Choose from morning, afternoon, or evening appointments, and you don’t need a referral from a family doctor first. Our convenient downtown location offers free parking, and we’re happy to accept insurance plans. We believe very strongly in the help we give, and do our best to ensure that your first appointment is scheduled within a week of contacting us.

Does your teen suffer from anxiety, problematic moods, or stress? At McBride Psychological Services, we offer Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) to teens, adults, and kids living in London and south-western Ontario. Our group practice of Psychologists and Psychological Associates are all registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario, so you can be comfortable in knowing that your teen’s needs are being addressed by certified professionals.
We provide a supportive and confidential environment for our evidence-based treatment of teen-specific anxiety and mood disorders. Our focus is on the individual and their goals, first assessing the situation based on each teen’s unique concerns, and then developing an individualized treatment plan. Together, we’ll talk about whether group or individual therapy would be the best choice to work toward these goals, and also whether weekly or bi-weekly sessions would be most beneficial.
As a short-term approach to helping teens deal with their fears and anxieties, CBT typically lasts between 6-20 sessions. We’ll also help monitor your teen’s problems and progress through the treatment period, and teach them how to implement the strategies learned into life at home, work, and school.
