Assessment
Assessment is a crucial part of the therapy process. Having an accurate understanding of your concerns enables the development of a tailored treatment plan. Sessions are typically 45-50 minutes long, and may be scheduled weekly or bi-weekly (depending on your situation and goals).

Individual CBT
The goal of the first session is to understand the nature of your concerns, in the context of your personal situation (i.e. taking into account: family atmosphere, background, living situation, culture, support system etc.). At the end of the first session, treatment recommendations are made.

Group CBT
Group therapy for mood and anxiety disorders has been shown to be very effective. Groups are usually small (4-8 people), and tend to meet over 10-14 weeks. Group sessions (2 hours) are scheduled weekly on a designated weeknight.

An individual session will be scheduled with one of our clinicians, to determine whether or not group therapy would be the best approach for you.
